Gulliver Preparatory School is proud to announce that Enzo Paesano ‘26 won the Silver Knight Award  in the Vocational Technical category at the prestigious Silver Knight Awards. The ceremony, held May 12, 2026, at the James L. Knight Center, recognized students for outstanding academic achievement and dedication to community service.

Enzo was recognized for his project, Volunteer for Seniors, the 2024 Congressional App Challenge winner designed to combat isolation among senior citizens. Through the platform, seniors can connect with young volunteers for assistance with technology, household tasks, and companionship, while volunteers build meaningful relationships and learn from older generations.

Since 2011, six Gulliver students have been named Silver Knight Award winners in their respective categories, while 15 students have earned Honorable Mention recognition.

One of the nation’s most highly regarded student awards programs, the Miami Herald/el Nuevo Herald Silver Knight Awards program recognizes outstanding students who have maintained their academics while unselfishly applying their special knowledge and talents to contribute significant service to their schools and communities.
