Camp Location:
Marian C. Krutulis PK-8 Campus

This half-day, four-week academic program provides an opportunity for students entering Grades 5-8 to get an academic boost or strengthen skills to prepare for the next grade level.

Combining intensive study and small-group learning, this program provides individual attention and student engagement. Students may take one or two classes, either for remediation or enhancement.

Courses are taught by Gulliver Prep teachers and follow the Gulliver Prep curriculum with a summer twist of engaging activities and class themes.

Course Descriptions

Math, Grades 5-6 and 7-8

The goal of this course is for each student to reach mastery of the concepts taught. Mastery of a concept entails understanding, application, and long-term retention of concepts.  Students will need to earn at least an 80% on a quiz before moving on to the next concept. Students will receive one-on-one instruction as needed on each math concept. Students will also complete independent practice problems using IXL.com and may need to finish some for homework if the extra practice is needed.  Not all students are expected to move to new concepts at the same pace.
