Camilla Dresner, 2024 Beaux Art AwardsSeveral Middle and Upper School students have earned recognition for original works of art entered in the 2024 Scholastic Art Awards Competition and Beaux Arts Student Artist Showcase.

Since 2001, the Beaux Arts Student Artist Showcase has encouraged and recognized student artists throughout Miami-Dade County. Hundreds of digital submissions are received and juried by local artists, art specialists, museum directors, and gallery owners. Camila Dresner ‘28 and Norah Henfridsson ‘28 were honored in the Middle School division of this year’s showcase, and were recognized at a reception and awards ceremony at The Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami on April 24.

The Scholastic Art Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Olivia Bueno ‘25 earned the highest distinction possible as she was recognized as a Gold Key Award winner, advancing to compete at the national level.

Eight students earned 13 Silver Key awards, while seven students earned 10 total Honorable Mention honors. Impressively, four students earned multiple Silver Keys including three by Tamara Santoyo ‘26. Winners were honored at a reception on April 27, and Silver Key and Gold Key winners will have their work on display at the Rubell Museum through May 10.
