Gulliver is proud to announce a $1 million gift from Donald and Evelyn MacKenzie P ‘29 ‘31 in support of Next-Level Teaching & Learning. As one of the two guiding pillars of our strategic plan, this contribution marks an important milestone in realizing our vision for enduring excellence at Gulliver. We are honored by the MacKenzie family’s continued commitment to our school, which includes the naming of the MacKenzie Family International Diplomacy and Law Classroom during our Transformation. Together. 2026. campaign.
The MacKenzie family are early supporters of our new $100 million comprehensive campaign, The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign for Gulliver, which will publicly launch in January 2026. We are grateful to recognize them as Founding Principals for Next-Level Teaching & Learning, as they join a visionary group of donors who have committed to being champions of education at Gulliver. Investments from our Founding Principals ensure that Gulliver’s academic programs can continue to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs and aspirations of our students and teachers today, tomorrow, and for the next 100 years.
At Gulliver, Next-Level Teaching & Learning reimagines education. As the world seemingly becomes more complex with each passing day, we feel a sense of urgency to be a steadfast and trusted guide for our students and families. Our ambition to catalyze a national model for personalized learning and academic excellence is grounded in our belief in nurturing the whole child, to embody the notion that success is equal parts what you achieve and who you become.
At the same time, the competition for top faculty is fierce. And in order to attract and retain top educators, Gulliver must become a destination workplace where teachers have the time, tools, and growth opportunities to excel. Philanthropic gifts make this possible. When we invest in our teachers we invest in our students, ensuring they are inspired, challenged, and prepared to thrive in this ever-changing world.
For the MacKenzie family, giving to Gulliver reflects both their gratitude for the school’s personalized approach to education, and their belief that philanthropically supporting education means shaping a stronger future.
“Having two very different children enrolled in Gulliver, each with their own passions, interests, and personalities, we have seen how Gulliver tailors to different students depending on their learning styles and interests. Gulliver is truly an institution that provides students with a world-class education, with that personalized touch unlike other schools,” they said. “As communities, we share the responsibility of investing in the future – and that future begins with our children’s education. We are not just donating to education, but investing in excellence, innovation, and the long-term prosperity of current and future Raiders.”
With support from families like the MacKenzies, Gulliver is well on its way to becoming a nationally recognized leader in education and a destination workplace.
