Gulliver is thrilled to announce that Michael and Sophie Komaransky P ‘26 ‘29 have made a landmark gift of $5 million to support the new Arts + Innovation Center through The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign for Gulliver. As early champions of the transformational campaign that marks the school’s Centennial year with a bold vision for our next century, the Komaranskys are committed to supporting Gulliver’s aspiration to become Miami’s premier STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) institution.

For the Komaransky family, Gulliver has been a place of growth for their children, Hugo and Luca — a home to explore their interests, stretch their creativity, and build confidence. Their hope is that generations of Raiders will have access to spaces that fuel imagination and inspire bold thinking.

“Gulliver students and faculty deserve the best facilities to develop their artistic skills. We hope our gift will allow students to thrive at a world-class institution for years to come,” they shared. “Supporting the arts at Gulliver is, for us, supporting what it means to be human.”

The new Arts + Innovation Center, slated to break ground at the Upper School Campus in the winter of 2026, will become a vibrant home for creativity for students from all divisions. This soaring space will be the epicenter for Gulliver’s performing and visual arts programs, inspiring artistic excellence. Just as importantly, it is designed as a truly collaborative, cross-disciplinary space — where artists, engineers, coders, and creators work side by side, and where robotics, design, and emerging technologies intersect seamlessly with music, movement, and visual expression. In addition to modern classroom studios and practice rooms, the 50,000-square-foot new building will feature state-of-the-art interdisciplinary spaces including:

• A contemporary, multifunctional 6,000 square-foot Agora for unforgettable performances, events, and dynamic programs spanning robotics, engineering, and innovation.
• A 300-seat Lecture Hall designed for learning and collaboration.
• A stunning Art Exhibition Gallery to showcase student talent.

With innumerable accolades each year, Gulliver is widely recognized for its robust, world-class, and immersive arts programming that nurtures talent and provides life-changing experiences.

With over 70% of students across PK-12 involved in Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts, we are deeply committed to continued investment in the arts as a cornerstone of a Gulliver education.

The Arts + Innovation Center is one of two transformational projects that will create a new STEAM Complex on the Upper School Campus. Uniting the arts and sciences, these spaces will become a dynamic hub for best-in-class facilities, technology, and equipment, elevating hands-on, experiential learning across classrooms, labs, and studios. Learn more.

The Komaranskys hope their support inspires others to join them. “Let’s come together to give future musicians, thespians, and dancers the best opportunity to thrive,” they said.

With the generous support of families like the Komaranskys through The Next 100, Gulliver stands as Miami’s leading school of choice as it continues to define educational excellence for the next century.
