Launched during the 2023–2024 school year, GSET (Gulliver Supports Excellent Teaching) is a faculty-created and faculty-led initiative designed to strengthen teaching and learning at Gulliver Prep. GSET brings together passionate educators to design and deliver in-house professional development opportunities that are both meaningful and practical.

With a focus on Engagement, Community/Belonging, Wellness, and Educational Technology—aligned to the Danielson for Gulliver Modified Indicators—GSET workshops are created and facilitated by faculty for faculty. Research shows that professional development is most effective when led by colleagues, and GSET provides teachers and counselors with the chance to learn directly from one another while also fostering cross-divisional connection and morale.

On August 8, 2025, GSET reached a major milestone with its first-ever schoolwide event, spanning PK3–12. Faculty leaders from every division collaborated to host this day of peer-to-peer learning, where teachers and counselors attended two workshops led by colleagues from across the school. The event not only highlighted the depth of talent within Gulliver’s faculty but also underscored the school’s commitment to cultivating a supportive, collaborative, and innovative teaching community.

By prioritizing shared expertise and authentic connection, GSET is shaping a culture where professional growth is embedded in everyday practice—ensuring that excellence in teaching thrives at Gulliver Prep.
