On the heels of an excellent performance at the Junior Thespian District 4 Festival in November 2022, members of Gulliver Prep’s Middle School Drama Troupe 88015 took their talents to the Junior Thespians State Festival in Orlando. On January 14, 2023, our student performers turned in one of Gulliver’s finest showings to-date at the state level, earning a troupe-best seven Triple Superiors, one Double Superior, and three Top Honors, including a Showcase Representative:

  • Triple Superior: Solo Musical – Mika Isaias
  • Triple Superior: Solo Musical – Alice Levinger
  • Triple Superior: Monologue – Sofi Ingham Gonzalez
  • Triple Superior: Ensemble Acting – Julia Varella Chaves, Luiza Padoveze Goncalves, Mika Isaias, Nina Stier, Charlotte Levinger, Siena De Maria, Sofi Ingham Gonzalez, Victoria Tarrazzi
  • Double Superior: Duet Scene – Julia Varella Chaves, Sydney Wider
  • Top Honors, Perfect Score – Triple Superior: Pantomime (1 medal) – Evan Weinstein
  • Top Honors, Perfect Score – Triple Superior: Small Group Musical (7 medals) – Chiara Wagner Ingletto, Francesca Segrera, Alice Levinger, Charlotte Levinger, Elena Bueter, Julia Varella Chaves, Siena De Maria
  • Top Honors, Perfect Score – Triple Superior: Monologue (1 medal) – Luiza Padoveze Goncalves (Showcase Representative)

Our Middle School Drama Department offers a student-centered approach, ensuring each student is supported to reach their full potential. With an emphasis on technique and personal creativity, our actors explore scenic and costume design, audition technique, vocal production, playwriting, scene study, mask work, the art of improvisation, public speaking, and more.
