Girls’ Volleyball – Conference Quarterfinalist
JV
This season was truly one of growth, resilience, and teamwork. For many of the girls’, this was their first experience playing volleyball, so we began with the fundamentals, focusing on the techniques taught in Gold Medal Square, the formal volleyball method we implement, and learning proper rotations. The first few weeks were challenging as the team adjusted not only to new skills but also to working together and understanding the game in a competitive environment.
As the season progressed, we encountered challenges not so much in skill, but in mindset. Through intentional team discussions and focused drills designed to build confidence and communication, we saw major improvement. By the end of the season, the transformation was clear. The girls’ began to truly play as a team — supporting each other on and off the court, bouncing back from mistakes, and learning something new every single game. No matter the outcome, they approached each match with a goal to grow and get better. This season laid the foundation for not just volleyball skills, but for teamwork, perseverance, and belief in one another; values that will serve our student-athletes both on the court and beyond.

The girls’ varsity volleyball team faced many obstacles during the 2025 season. Whenever a good string of wins presented itself, it was immediately followed by injuries. The team was one of the more talented teams in recent years, but it just struggled with putting all of the pieces together. Though their hearts never wavered, our varsity team fought with passion in every match they played. This team absolutely helped set the tone for the future of the girls’ volleyball program. Good luck to our players moving to the upper school and let’s keep up the tradition! The entire coaching staff was proud of the way the student-athletes competed throughout the season and knows the future is bright with the legacy they leave behind.

The 2025 sixth grade football season was truly one to remember. With 21 dedicated players, many experiencing tackle football for the first time, this group embraced every challenge and grew tremendously both on and off the field. From the very first practice, our emphasis was on blocking, tackling, and mastering the fundamentals — the true building blocks of football. Week by week, the boys showed noticeable improvement, developing confidence, teamwork, and discipline that will carry them far beyond this season.
Every game reflected 100% effort, regardless of the score or circumstance. The players displayed remarkable grit, heart, and sportsmanship, proving that success is built through effort, attitude, and accountability. Physically, the team transformed — each athlete finishing the year in great shape and with a deeper understanding of what it means to be a student- athlete at Gulliver Prep. This season laid a powerful foundation not only for future victories but also for the continued growth and strength of the football program as a whole.

This season has been filled with growth, teamwork, and a relentless spirit. The Raiders grade 7/8 football team got off to a 4-1 hot start. The team was led by Captain & leading rusher, eighth grader Owen Hu. Owen averaged 10.1 yards per carry, while he was second on the team in tackles. Our seventh grader Michael “MJ” Johnson was a key contributor to the Raiders at Quarterback & Free Safety, as well as Noah Galembeck-Rohr who lead the team in tackles defensively. The Raiders finished 4-4 on the season and hosted the Tri-County Football League Bowl Game. Thank you to our eighth grade Captains, Owen Hu, Gavin Havenick and Patrick Ercuta, we are excited to see you play at the Upper School. The journey this season has been about more than just wins and losses; it’s about building character, learning the value of hard work, and forming lifelong friendships.
