The 2024-25 Middle School Spring Sports season was one to remember, filled with championship victories, personal growth, and academic excellence across the board. Our Raiders balanced their competitive edge with strong classroom performance, embodying the spirit of Raider pride every step of the way.

The Girls’ Tennis team continued their dominant streak, securing a Conference Championship 3-PEAT and an undefeated record in conference play. With only two sixth graders on the roster, the team’s experience and chemistry were key to their success. Coach Mulligan praised their effort, saying, “This was quite an accomplishment to win three Conference Championships in a row. I am so proud of our lady Raider student-athletes.” Combined team grade average: 92.52

The Boys’ Tennis team had a fantastic season, finishing third in the South Florida Middle School Conference Championship with a 6-2 conference record. Led by standout performances from Nicolas Medel, Nicolas Thiemann, and Felipe Junqueira, the team impressed with their skill and resilience. Coach Bradley shared, “Our boys worked hard and we are already looking forward to next year.” Combined team grade average: 92.18

Baseball powered their way to a second straight Conference Championship, finishing with a dominant 11-2-1 record. With a solid mix of eighth grade leadership and younger contributors, this squad showed grit, chemistry, and skill all season long. This back-to-back title has set the stage for a bright future in Raider Baseball. Combined team grade average: 91.08

In Track & Field, both the Boys’ and Girls’ teams had strong showings at the South Florida Middle School Conference Championships. The boys finished in fifth place, highlighted by a second place finish in the 4x800m relay and top performances in shot put, discus, and high jump. The girls placed seventh, with notable performances from Lena Perez Oizumi and Hana Smith. Coach Moreno celebrated their dedication, saying, “Congrats on a great season everyone! Looking forward to seeing some of our Raiders move on and compete in MS States!” Combined team grade averages: Boys’ – 91.57 | Girls’ – 91.32

The Boys’ Lacrosse program had another incredible year, with over 70 student-athletes participating across Varsity and Junior Varsity levels. The JV team went undefeated (6-0), while Varsity fought through a challenging schedule to finish as #3 Seed Conference Semifinalists. Coach Newland emphasized that the season was about more than wins, stating, “This season was about progress, passion, and pride.” Combined team grade averages: JV – 91.21 | Varsity – 89.86

Making history, Girls’ Lacrosse completed their inaugural season, learning the game and making great strides in skill, teamwork, and confidence. From first-time players to fast learners, this team built a strong foundation for the future. We are thrilled that girls’ lacrosse will officially join the South Florida Middle School Conference next year!

Water Polo continued to grow and thrive, finishing the season with a 5-4 record. The team, led by MVP Antonio Carom, saw major contributions from both rookies and returners. Coach Gonzalez applauded their development, saying the future is bright for this program. Combined team grade averages: Boys’ – 93.55 | Girls’ – 92.37

Last but certainly not least, Cheerleading closed out another historic season with their fourth consecutive USCA National Cheer & Dance Championship in the Middle & High School Non-Tumbling category. Their dedication and school spirit shined through every routine, and their national title is a testament to their commitment and hard work. Combined team grade average: 92.90

Overall, our Spring Season student-athletes finished with an impressive combined GPA of 91.45!
We are so proud of their achievements both in the classroom and in competition. Congratulations to all of our athletes, coaches, and families on an outstanding season. Go Raiders!
