Seniors Share Hope Through Poetry

As a final project, IB Spanish B and Spanish A: Language and Literature seniors participated in a Share Hope through Poetry campaign.

Inspired by the poem “Esperanza” by Alexis Valdés, students wrote their own poems about the lessons humanity is learning from this global crisis, and how we will all come out of it as better people. Students focused on the context, audience, purpose, and message of their poems, as well as the use of varying Spanish tenses.

The activity served as a culmination of all their years learning Spanish while these encouraging messages of hopefulness have helped students focus on the positive during these challenging times.
