Many of our talented student musicians have participated in district and state-level evaluations, festivals, and prestigious programs this year—demonstrating incredible dedication and passion for their craft. Both Middle and Upper School students have achieved remarkable success across vocal, string, wind, and jazz performances, proudly representing Gulliver Prep on some of the most competitive stages in the state and beyond.
Middle School Highlights:
- Three sixth grade students were selected to the prestigious Treble All Stars Honors Choir at this year’s Florida Vocal Association Summer Conference—marking the first-ever Gulliver selections to this statewide ensemble.
- Band students earned 34 Superior and four Excellent ratings in Solo and Ensemble evaluations; two jazz combos also earned Superior ratings. Zach Krys ‘30 was selected to the Florida All-State Middle School Jazz Band and Armaan Malik ‘30 was selected to the Florida Bandmasters Seven Star Honor Band
- Advanced Orchestra received Straight Superior ratings at the District Music Performance Assessments.
- Solo and Ensemble participants earned 4 Superior with Distinction and 16 Superior ratings.
- One orchestra student passed the competitive audition for the renowned Interlochen Summer Music Festival.
Upper School Highlights:
- Brooke Lowry ‘26 (All-State Symphonic Orchestra) and Kaveen Chainani ‘26 (SATB Mixed Chorus) were selected and participated in the Florida Music Educators’ Association’s All-State Music Ensembles.
- Musicians earned high marks in vocal, string, and wind Solo and Ensemble performances:
- Band: 25 Superior and 10 Excellent ratings
- Strings: 3 Superior with Distinction, 24 Superior, and 5 Excellent ratings
- Vocalists: 5 Superior and 4 Excellent ratings
- Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Jazz Band each earned Straight Superior ratings at District MPAs.
- The String Orchestra advanced to State MPA, earning a Superior rating.
