Gulliver is proud to announce that eight seniors have been named National Merit Scholarship Finalists, a prestigious recognition that places them among the highest-achieving students in the nation.
Matthew Bahniuk ‘26, Kaveen Chainani ‘26, Eitan Krajewski ‘26, Justin Merner ‘26, Ramiro Perez ‘26, Griffin Rampoldt ‘26, Elisa Tarac ‘26, and Gaby Tarpey ‘26 have advanced to the final stage of the National Merit Scholarship Program. Finalists represent an elite group selected through a rigorous, multi-step process that evaluates academic performance, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and a strong record of achievement.
Approximately 6,870 Merit Scholarship recipients will be selected from a nationwide pool of more than 15,000 finalists, with scholarship announcements beginning later this spring. This distinction highlights not only academic excellence, but also the curiosity, dedication, and commitment to learning that define these students’ journeys.
Last year, Gulliver celebrated two National Merit Scholars when Chloe Marjenberg ‘25 and Neelesh Pandey ‘25 advanced through the program and were awarded National Merit Scholarships, continuing a strong tradition of academic achievement among Gulliver seniors.
