Senior artist Tamara Santoyo ’26 has spent four years pushing her creativity forward and embracing the challenges that come with finding her artistic voice. From leading the National Art Honor Society to developing a powerful AP Art portfolio that explores the contrast between the romanticization and reality of her Mexican heritage, Tamara shares how art has become her place of confidence, expression, and growth. Encouraged by her teachers to pursue her passion, she discovered that stepping into challenge is where her purpose and identity began to take shape.
