Seven Students Win Awards for Creative Writing en Español

Seven Middle School students have been recognized for their creative writing in Spanish, earning ribbons in the World Languages Creative Writing category of the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair.

Azzurra Vogliazzo Brazzioli ’24, Diego Carrillo ’24, Lucia Gutierrez-Rosety ’24, and Fernanda Naranjo ’26 won first-place ribbons, while Daniel Azuela ’24 and Juan Rovira ’24 earned second-place honors, and Isabel Walchli ’24 won third place.

Under the direction of Maria Picado, Middle School World Language Chair, student entries included essays, poems, and short stories written in Spanish. Several of the students also won awards for their submissions in English.
