For a century, Gulliver has evolved with purpose, preparing students to navigate a changing world with knowledge, character, and confidence. From our earliest classrooms to the innovative, future-ready programs of today, we have believed that success is equal parts what you achieve and who you become.
As we continue to celebrate our Centennial year, we are naming — clearly and confidently — the values that define us at our best and will guide us into our next century.
If you’ve been reading our community stories this year, you’ve already seen them in action. Now, we bring them into focus as the values that connect our history to our future.
Our Core Values
Seek the Challenge
Just beyond the obstacle lies meaning, growth, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
We see it in students who tackle complex ideas, step into leadership roles, audition for something that stretches them, or compete with grit. Challenge is not something we avoid — it’s where we grow.
Feed Your Curiosity
The world is full of wonder. Explore every nook and question with a hungry mind.
From engineering prototypes to spirited classroom debates to studios and stages where ideas take shape, curiosity fuels discovery here. It keeps our learning dynamic and alive.
Amplify the WE
Put others first, build bridges, and strengthen the bonds that weave each “me” into a greater “we.”
You feel it in the stands at matches and games, in collaborative classrooms, and in student-led initiatives. Belonging at Gulliver isn’t accidental — it’s intentional.
Choose Generosity
We give of ourselves, not because it’s easy, but because it’s right.
Through service-learning projects, community partnerships, and everyday acts of care, generosity shapes our culture, and reminds our students that they are most impactful when they contribute to something bigger than themselves.
Grow into Greatness
Greatness isn’t an endpoint, but rather the daily practice of striving toward our own highest standards.
In academics, the arts, athletics, and in character, we pursue excellence as a practice. It is built every day through resilience, reflection, and the courage to improve.
Rooted in Our Past. Ready for What’s Next.
In 1926, Marian C. Krutulis envisioned an academic community devoted to educational excellence, with a personal touch. A century later, that spirit remains alive and unmistakable, strengthened by generations of Raiders who have shaped this place with courage, curiosity, generosity, and heart.
As we step into our next 100 years, these five Core Values will serve as our compass. They connect our bold ambitions to the character that defines us, ensuring that who we are continues to shape where we’re going.
As Gulliver advances our strategic pillars — Next-Level Teaching & Learning and Thriving Students — these values show up in action. They guide how we elevate academic excellence, how we nurture student wellbeing, and how we strengthen the relationships that bind families, faculty, and students into one enduring community.
This is who we are.
And this is who we are becoming — together.
