The Ramos’ found the perfect place for their triplets to thrive and build skills that will be relevant for their development – Gulliver Prep.

In all 11 years of their time at Gulliver, they saw their boys blossom in an environment that supported their scholastic ambitions, mental health and their extracurricular pursuits.

From gymnastics to water polo, the Ramos Family witnessed the development of team spirit, sportsmanship, resilience, perseverance and sacrifice first hand.

“Our children cannot learn how to acclimatize to a changing world if the school building them up for that is not innovative and adaptive. Gulliver continues its fluid and dynamic approach to education by tirelessly evolving.”

Our Gulliver Experience

In all 11 years of their time at Gulliver, we were happy to see our boys thrive in an environment that supported their scholastic ambitions, mental health and their extracurricular pursuits. Being first on the gymnastics and then the water polo team, and representing the school on several occasions, made our boys feel part of something that extended beyond themselves. That thrill, and that constant drive to achieve greatness with their teammates did something magnificent to our children’s personalities; we witnessed them develop team spirit, sportsmanship, resilience, perseverance and sacrifice. We believe that Gulliver built their confidence, determination and a sense of cooperation. And all of these are important traits to take with them into the next phase of their lives as they head to college and prepare to become exemplary citizens of an increasingly complex world that demands strength, conviction and, most importantly, kindness.

Why did you choose to entrust Gulliver Prep with your children’s education?

We believed Gulliver Prep to be a worthy investment in our children’s future because of its reputation for academic excellence and character building. We were seeking a strong foundation that would allow our sons to grow into perfectly capable individuals in a society becoming more and more complex and demanding of them. We also want them to thrive and build skills that will be relevant for their development. This is why we sought for an environment that prepared them for exactly such. Gulliver Prep promised us that they will meet our expectations and they delivered on that promise.

Why is it important for Gulliver Prep to continue to transform and innovate?

Gulliver Prep is attractive for its unique approach to learning, and this could be lost if it were to remain stagnant. By that, we mean our children cannot learn how to acclimatize to a changing world if the school building them up for that is not innovative and adaptive. The students need to be academically grounded, and at the same time, they also need to be relevant in a fast-paced world of automation and technological disruption. We hope that the school continues in its fluid and dynamic approaches to educating the children just as the social and intellectual landscape of the 21st century continues to evolve.

At what moment did you know Gulliver was the right school for your children?

We are not sure if there was an exact moment, but we realized the positive impact the school has had on our sons quite early. While we have always instilled very strong positive values in them, we were glad to see that the school environment had helped strengthen those values even further. We saw them becoming more responsible and taking initiative without necessarily being prompted. We believe this was a result of the school’s commitment to leadership skills in the children and making them feel empowered to take on tasks with their minds focused on excellence.

Why is it important for other families to invest in the future of Gulliver Prep?

We will always recommend other families to tap into the wealth of grace and beauty that is the Gulliver Prep school environment. While some schools would prefer keeping the parents out of the learning process entirely, this school realized the importance of the “it takes a village mantra” by fostering a joint approach to developing the kids. And that made the kids feel very much at home. It was not just an institution of learning but a home where they could feel safe in the care of their teachers who looked out for them academically, mentally, and socially. There is no better place to groom kids to be the best version of themselves.
