Our Approach
Gulliver embodies and taps into Miami’s full potential – its innovation, energy, and diversity – to create a learning environment that is globally minded, future-facing, and alive with possibility. Rooted in our school’s mission and commitment to personal touch, our team works collaboratively across all Divisions to ensure that each member of our community feels a true sense of home here. We offer a learning environment where belonging is a lived experience. Through intentional programs, shared celebrations, reflective learning opportunities and everyday interactions, we cultivate a culture where our dynamic students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Gulliver students are equipped with a complete set of tools: knowledge to make sense of the world, skills to move through it with confidence, and the character to leave it better than they found it. Through our emphasis on belonging and community, our aim is to deepen understanding, foster meaningful relationships, and cultivate the essential skills students need to lead with empathy, confidence, and integrity in our interconnected world. When students feel a strong sense of belonging, they’re empowered to excel, be their best selves, and inspire the best in others.

At Gulliver, we know that when students feel a true sense of belonging, they are more confident, engaged, and eager to learn. That’s why our work to create an inclusive and welcoming community is deeply tied to our pursuit of excellence – both in what students achieve, and who they become. We are guided by a set of core beliefs that shape how we support every student and family:

Together, we are fostering an environment where every student and family is supported and celebrated.
We have created a multi-layer organizational structure to ensure our work in diversity, equity, and inclusion is reflected in all facets of the Gulliver experience. These structures guide our current initiatives and push us to continually develop thoughtful, impactful programming.
The Board of Trustees Diversity Committee reviews and plans strategic initiatives and ensures adequate resources are provided for the work.
