All-State Musicians

Six Gulliver students traveled to Tampa this weekend for the Florida Music Educators Association’s (FMEA) All-State Music Festival. Once a student is chosen to be a participant at All-States, they become ranked as one of the top musicians in the state. Tobias Schoenwald ’24 was one of 20 students – and only five trumpets – selected for the All-State Jazz Band, while Constanza Prato ’24 and Kate Brewer ’24 represented Gulliver in the All-State Middle School Treble and Mixed Chorus, respectively. In addition, Margaret Miao ’22 was chosen to play violin in the All-State Concert Orchestra, Craig Cosentino ’21 participated as a tenor in the All-State Men’s Choir, and Julia Izquierdo ’20 was selected to the All-State Concert Choir as a soprano. The FMEA All-State Music Festival is the second largest All-State Music Festival in the United States.
