Upper & Middle School Dance Competition

On February 28 – March 1, the Middle and Upper School dance teams traveled to Orlando for a pair of spring competitions.

The Jr. Sundancers attended the American All-Star Dance/Drill National Competition.

Under the direction of Carla Duval, the Jr. Sundancers attended the American All-Star Dance/Drill National Competition at Epcot Park. Gulliver took home four first-place trophies, including Overall Grand National Champions for the Middle School Team Division. Below is a complete look at all of the Jr. Sundancers’ weekend accomplishments:

Middle School Team Division: Overall Grand National Champions Trophy
Open Category – “Like A River Runs” – 1st Place and Technique Award
Prop/Novelty – “Show Off” – 1st Place and Choreography Award
Hip Hop – “Welcome to the Party” – 2nd Place
Middle School Solo Division – Sofia Amaro ’24 – 1st Place
Middle School Solo Division – Chloe Lyon ’25 – 2nd Place

The Sundancers competed at the 2020 Contest of Champions

Under the direction of Gerri Barreras, the Sundancers attended Contest of Champions at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex. Gulliver notched a pair of first-place finishes, including a small team championship, and three Choreography Awards. Below is a complete look at all of the Sundancers’ weekend accomplishments:
